Azeroth Auto-Pilot Classic

For those who want to put the absolute minimum thought into levelling their character, Azeroth Auto-Pilot goes one step further and gives you a step-by-step guide to the most efficient levelling route, including which quests to pick up, which zones to level through, and even giving you an arrow pointing in the direction you should be travelling to reach the next objective.

While most players will likely want to experience WoW Classic with a bit more interaction, at least the first time around, if you find yourself levelling multiple characters you may find that the assistance provided by Azeroth Auto-Pilot eases the grind from time to time, especially if you’re only levelling an alt for the purpose of using it for end-game content.

Bagnon

Bagnon is a great add-on if addon the inventory management system as it is now. If you’re getting sick of managing everything across multiple bags, Bagnon takes an overhaul to that system. Bagnon helps make looking and managing your inventory loads easier by condensing everything into one big bag. It can also help automatically sort things by item type. By adding colored borders, you can see an item’s quality and discern other facts about it much faster. Bagnon can also track items across characters, so you can check in on any inventory without needing to log in and out of alts.

I sorted through all the available addons & chose this for my UI.

Note Cartographer is not compatible with Mobinfo2. Due to 2 of the questhelper like addons using cartographer this pack uses a modified version of rapid quest pack.

I modified all the .toc files so they don’t show out of date. I enable everything but the lootlinkdbadder.

It’s a good job I had this addon, as I have no idea what a Golem is.

Thankfully, Questie fixes all that reading quest text nonsense (don’t worry, you’ll still do a lot wrong even with Questie if you don’t read quests). But by providing you with some of those missing map features, Questie gives you a lot of the functionality you’re missing from retail. Questie isn’t perfect, it might not play well with some other addons (looking at you Azeroth Auto Pilot) and it can be a little misleading at times.

Alternative – QuestHelper – Basically the same thing, some people may prefer the UI.

Originally called X-Perl, the new addon came back for Classic and has been downloaded over 10 million times already. Another popular addon in this section, and it deserves special mention, is ElvUI. Z-Perl is more an alternative to the standard UI (see below) whereas ElvUI is more like a full rework of the entire WoW design.

For Unit Frames, you’ll need to find what fits you. Some people like something much more simple, personally I use Shadowed Unit Frames, which much like Z-Perl is a much more minor change to the overall look, mostly just tidying up the standard look.

WeakAuras is a popular addon in modern Warcraft, and much of its functionality has been translated to Classic. It can be used to track pretty much anything you can think of and is commonly used to keep track of cooldowns or to give a visual indicator of spell procs or buffs based off any number of triggers. The simple WeakAura in the example above will put an icon on my screen if my priest hasn’t been buffed with Power Word: Fortitude. As this is something I often forget to do, especially as the duration is half as long as it is in modern Warcraft, it’s a neat little reminder. If you don’t feel confident building your own, you can import WeakAuras .

Deadly Boss Mods – Classic (DBM)

DBM or Deadly Boss Mods is one of the most popular addons in World of Warcraft for a while now and it’s coming for Classic as well. The addon is an excellent dungeon and raid helper, providing you with cooldowns and notification during dungeon or raid fights. It suffices to say that DBM makes your life A LOT easier when doing dungeons and raid encounters since you’ll always know when boss abilities are about to be cast on you or your group.

AtlasLootClassic

AtlasLootClassic is a Classic WoW addon made after the popular AtlasLoot Enhanced. Since Vanilla WoW and evidently, Classic WoW does not have an adventure journal to see what are the loot tables of each dungeon or raid boss, AtlasLoot comes in to fill the gap. With AtlasLootClassic you can see every loot dropped in-game by dungeon and raid bosses, faction rewards, sets, world boss loot tables, crafting materials information and more. Basically, if you want to see what’s available in the game for the taking, AtlasLootClassic will do just that.

Clique for Classic WoW

Clique is an addon that we still use in the current ‘live’ version of WoW and we’ve kept a close eye to see if the developers will port it to Classic WoW. If you’re a fan of the addon (like we are), rejoice, Clique was made for Classic. For those that don’t know, Clique allows you to bind various spells and macros to your mouse buttons or other keys that can be used by click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. That’s why Clique is one of our preferred addons to install.

HealBot for Classic

While HealBot isn’t ported fully to WoW Classic yet (but we’ve decided to add it to the list anyway due to its demand). It’s rumored that developers stated they are working on it and they will release a Classic-only version soon. We’ve included the Curseforge download link to keep an eye out for the release. Healbot is a very useful addon that lets you configure various keybindings or key combinations to cast heals or other useful spells on players. The addon also lets you cast harmful spells on enemies as well as being used for decursive functions.

How To Get Some of the Best World of Warcraft Classic Addons

Some improvements to WoW through mods include making information more readily available. Others offer shortcuts for reporting information and allow for different windows, discreet displays, and organizational methods not seen in the base version of the game. Overall, these mods try not to interfere too much with the game. All it changes is how the UI behaves and some other informational transfers concerning the game. If you’ve been playing WoW for very long, you no doubt know that the community loves their mods. Hardly any WoW player can admit to not tweaking WoW and how it functions.

All-in-one packages can change everything from the minimap to the spell bars. If you’re new to the idea of modding, not to worry. We have a quick explanation to help you through before we get into the list. When you download your mod from your website of choice, it will be a .zip file. True Mob Wellbeing – One of WoW Classic’s easiest, and necessary, supplements, when the amount of XP points the enemy has is seen. Sadly, there are just fractions, but it is much more than zero.

Classic cast bars – This mod installs them so that you can specifically look at the enemy casting, so that you can cut off the spell more quickly and quicker, as long as there is no cast bars in the game. You may also change the player’s active bar. Perfect PvP player option.

Omni CC – is a tiny but very common add-on that attaches text to cooldown objects, spells and capabilities to indicate when ready. The digital equivalent of all normal analog decay periods. Fits for several additional add-ons.

Omni Bar – It’s a very light add-on. It is used to track the cooldowns of enemies. Omni Bar is easy to adapt and has a range of features including: multiple bars, amount of cooldowns, multiple players monitoring, personalizable cooldowns. Can be found in battlefields and stadiums.

Lose Control – Displays your player, pet, aim, party or raid group, for duration of both parties’ control spells, skills, and buffs. Lose Control It supports and can be modified to PvP interruptions if necessary.

H.H.T.D. (Healers Must Die) – It’s a very handy PvP-oriented add-on, so it detects and instantly applies a special healing symbol for players. This add-on displays your current class and healing rank. It will also help you defend the healers against warning you when they are targeted.

Spy Classic – watches for enemy players and alerts you if they are close by. The add-on tries to supply the enemy with as much information as possible. There can be class and level. If you are using the Spy, you may share information with your party, raid, or guild.
