К сожалению супер-графикой игра похвастаться не может. Но если сделать скидку на то, что игра все же браузерная и играют в нее одновременно огромное количество игроков, то перед разработчиками можно снять шляпу. Трассеры выглядят вполне приемлемо, танки и техника горят, взрываются — все, что надо для реалистичности боя, присутствует.

Несколько слов о различных орудиях убийства, которых в игре хватает. Классификация оружия следующая:

Автоматы
Карабины
И конечно же гранотометы

Механика выстрелов тоже на уровне- все оружие стреляет с отдачей и соблюдаются законы баллистики.

Играть в Red Crucible 2 можно любым персонажем., т.к. строгой привязки к классам нет. Перед загрузкой миссии вам предложат выбрать любое основное оружие и любое дополнительное. Но не стоит забывать о выносливости, для примера — гранатометчику с ПП, на котором еще и надет бронежилет лучше использовать для передвижения технику, тогда можно говорить о его мобильности на поле боя.

Поддержка с воздуха вносит разнообразие в бои. Над каждой картой периодически пролетают самолеты, которые сбрасывают вниз аптечки, бинокли, стереотрубы, одноразовое тяжелое оружие и контейнеры для вызова огневого удара.

С помощью вызванного огневого удара вполне реально разбить врагов засевших в опорном пункте или надоевшую танковую роту. Так же море фана получается от боев пехоты, ведь есть возможность пройти крышами или подвалами и заминировать все, что только можно =)

Пожалуй, что стоит отметить сразу, здесь есть возможность порулить «крокодилом» или БТР, причем все достаточно реалистично. Один из игроков управляет машиной, а остальные сидят в ней в качестве пассажиров или стрелков. Вспышки, полеты гранат, выстрелов РПГ, пулеметные автоматные очереди, мины очень стимулируют доехать быстрее до нужного места.

Что можно добавить еще: колоны техники, снайперы засевшие в самых укромных местах, штурмовые группы, засады со световыми гранатами и дымом — играть в Red Crucible 2 точно не скучно. На самом деле довольно много всего, учитываю, что бюджет у игры не очень большой.

Red Crucible: Firestorm Review

Red Crucible: Firestorm is a free-to-play 3D MMOFPS set in various environments based on real-world locations, such as the Autobahn in Germany, an airport, a middle-eastern town, and an aircraft carrier. The game runs on the Unity game engine and, as can be expected of games that run on Unity, the graphics fall a bit short of expectations. The animations also seem a bit clunky, unnatural, and a bit glitchy. There were a couple of times when I aimed down my sights and was shown the inside of my avatar’s head instead. Don’t even get me started on the audio. The gun sounds lack the oomph found in most FPS games.

Boot Camp

Upon entering the game players are taken to the game’s lobby where players can either jump into a game right away or go through a quick Call of Duty type tutorial where a stereotypical redneck drill sergeant teaches players the basics of movement, firing their weapon, aiming down sights, and basically everything else they need to know to survive a firefight. Although comparing the tutorial to Call of Duty’s is like comparing a Prius to a Porsche. If you’ve ever played any type of FPS game before, I’d suggest skipping the tutorial entirely.

Prepare for Contact

Like most MMOFPS’s, Red Crucible: Firestorm pits one team of players against another in various maps across a total of 6 game modes. Players can compete with each other in classic game modes such as Team Deathmatch, with or without vehicles; Search and Destroy: one team tries to plant the bomb while another team defends; Territories: a domination-type map; Conquer: a King of the Hill type map; and Survivor: a free-for-all map. It’s worth mentioning that game modes with vehicles may feel a bit unbalanced due to unrealistic physics. When I say unrealistic, I mean M-16’s-doing-damage-to-tanks unrealistic. Tank shells also seem to be missing a blast radius and need to be aimed exactly where the enemy is standing. Easier said than done when the enemy is running and jumping around peppering your thickly-armored tank with 5.56 bullets from their assault rifle.

Lock and Load

What’s good about Red Crucible: Firestorm is the large variety of gear players can unlock such as weapons, uniforms, vehicles, and other military accessories. Unfortunately, most of the gear can only be unlocked by paying real-world cash. The game isn’t exactly pay-to-win since the premium weapons and gear basically have the same stats as the free ones but they do look way, way, way, cooler than the basic M-16s and plastic-looking M9 Berettas that players start with. I would absolutely love to get my hands on that Navy Seal gear set with DEVGRU camo, a silenced M4 carbine, and MK25 pistol.

The Final Verdict — Fair

Red Crucible: Firestorm falls short in many aspects, even being dubbed as the poor man’s Battlefield. Although the game does have potential, the still have a ton of things they need to fix if they want this game to succeed. Changing game engines, for one. Unity just isn’t cut out for an MMOFPS game, unless it’s a browser-based game, which Red Crucible: Firestorm seems to be leaning towards to. Revamping the game’s physics should also be on top of the list. Unless your idea of fun is taking on a tank with an M-16 and actually succeeding in destroying it, then you’d probably be better off trying out other free-to-play MMOFPS’s, like Ghost Recon: Phantoms, War Thunder for those into vehicle combat, or Arma 3 which perfectly combines infantry, vehicle, and aerial warfare. Although the latter does come at a hefty price.

Long Form: «Red Cricible: Firestorm» is a Shooter that offers both First-and a Third Person View. The Game is very reminiscent of Battlefield, both design, gameplay and Modes. «Team Deathmatch» or «Territories» (FEnd Flag) are just two of the 5 Modes in total. There are currently 5 Maps, including «Sandstorm,» a small Desert Town very reminiscent of Arabia or Africa, and Frankfurt, which-as everyone can guess-should recreate Frankfurt. The Maps are lovingly designed and the Modes well worked out. There is a widely tested Arsenal Of weapons, of various Secondary Weapons, Grenades and Supplies such as artillery Beatings. You can choose between four Classes: Assault, Support, Sniper and Demolitions. Assault and Support are the Classes with fully automatic assault or Machine Guns. Snipers feature sniper Rifles and the demolitions class has Rocket Launchers. So Each Class has its pros and Cons.
Any Weapon can be upgraded with Gold received through Level-Ups or Real Money, or Honor until Stage 3. Each time, the Properties improve a little. For each Game you get XP (Experience Points) for Kills and/or the Lap Victory. If you have collected enough XP, you will go up a Level. This unlocks new Weapons that can be unlocked for 600 Honor or 15 Gold. If you can’t wait for this, or want to have premium weapons, you have to save or buy the Weapons in the Shop with Gold. You can also unlock a new Card with the first 3 Ranks. You also get Gold and Honor for a Level-Up, as well as a Box. The Box can be opened free of charge in The Inventory and contains a random Item such as Grenades or media kits.
There is a clan system that allows you to invite your Friends into a Clan. In order to accommodate more People, 100 Gold must be donated.
Now to the Graphic. The Graphics of Red Cricible: Firestorm are average. It is not high-resolution or very detailed, but this is offset by the well thought-out map design. Even on the lowest Graphics, Red Crucible still has a relatively good Graphics that are quite sufficient to see and hit Enemies. So, unlike its big Brother Battlefield, Red Crucible also runs on worse PCS due to the low Demands. It starts quickly and reliably within a few Seconds and crashes extremely rarely.
Even the Initial Tutorial is despite the Brevity of grade once about 5-10 Minutes is well done. The Game dynamics are explained short and crisp and shown, one is not thrown directly into The Action. In addition, all Key Assignments can be retrieved at any time in the main Menu via the keyboard icon.
In Conclusion, Red Crucible: Firestorm is a Game that you really should have played. It is a good and free Battlefield replacement that still has a lot of Potential. Already, the Game has quite a large Community, although it is only early Access and is far from Finished and mature. A very good Game for boredom in between.
