Очевидно, что Гуануин – это один из командиров лучников, что и можно назвать ее основной специализацией. Однако у нее есть и другие любопытные ветки талантов, а еще всевозможные варианты комбинаций между ними. Имеет смысл развивать выбранное направление целиком и уже потом переходить к другим веткам, чтобы добиться максимума пользы.
Усиление лучников
Наиболее очевидный путь развития командира, особенно, когда необходимо усилить стрелковые отряды. Данная ветка изучается в полном объеме, т. к. здесь каждый талант дает неплохие бонусы. Отряды станут лучше проявлять себя при битвах в поле, не только нанося больше урона, но и получая более высокую выживаемость. Дополнить эффект можно, если часть избыточных очков вложить в ветку «Точность».
Миротворчество
Данная ветка талантов сфокусирована на борьбе с темными и значительно повышает эффективность легиона в подобных стычках. Участие армий в PVE под предводительством Гуануин является частым явлением, т. к. не каждый герой демонстрирует такие же результаты. Если в армии много стрелков, то часть очков можно таже распределить в стрелковую ветку для большего эффекта.
Точность
Это направление не является особо востребованным, но если необходимо подготовить героя к PvP баталиям, то лучше пути не найти. Здесь все сосредотачивается на повышении урона как от навыка командира, так и всей ее армии. Для большего эффекта после изучения данной ветки, можно дополнительно прокачивать дерево талантов для стрелков.
Get Jade Keys or Not?
There are pro’s and cons in getting a jade key. The obvious benefit is that they make you take less damage and dish out more.
The main cons are that once you activate the dragon altar, you have a big target on your back and other players that are smart, will target you. The other con is that it takes time and luck to find the green jade keys and that time could be spent finding elixers, weapon upgrade books and killing other players to steal their loot!
I recommend saving enough time to quickly check out 1 or 2 locations marked on the map for the keys, if you don’t get lucky, move on to more looting etc.
If you haven’t found any and someone else has, then try and get to the yellow marked jade altar first, and intercept other players trying to walk up the stairs to activate it. If they activate it, then don’t hit the other players, focus on doubling back on him to whittle their health down, don’t one on one unless you have a stronger character than they despite their jade key.
Once they are dead, immediately look their jade key for yourself, YAY!

Like just said, every item has their own way to support your gameplay.Sometimes, you will be able to find a hidden item from the unexpected place or a mysterious NPC and of course, it will be a game changer once you find it.There are several weapon types and various socket items that you can insert to the weapon. Experience every weapon type you can find, build your own combat style and choose them strategically to cope with all the situations you may face during the gameplay.
Remember, it is not honor that keeps you alive on the battleground and wins the battle, and the only one who can discuss the honor is the one who survived from the battle.Sometimes you’ll learn to turn your back on your enemies and run away promising the next opportunity, and when the opportunity comes, you’ll learn how to use all the things that are given for victory, even if it’s way far from the honor.
There are nine ruins that use to be a clan house for each nine clans of this world in Gado island and three of those ruins have the dragon’s Jade which is the key to the chamber that nine dragon’s legacy is hidden.The key will show the location of the chamber in your map by a mark, and once the key gets out from the ruins, it will show the chamber’s location to every people after a certain time after it.Some of you will try to visit the ruins while some of you will search for the one who already has key. It’s obvious in this world when you kill someone, you take everything that they had.
Do not be disappointed when you hear someone already got the key and revealed the legend of nine dragon’s legacy. We’re going to provide another thrilling adventure to you in an early day.
Camera and Controls (2 out of 5)
For me the camera and controls were deeply annoying. The game takes a point and click approach and the camera is free spinning around your character. I’m so used to WASD that this control method really grated on my nerves but I guess it is a matter of opinion and some people will have no problem with it. It is easy enough to pull off the moves you want and there is no skill factor involved in controlling your attacks. This is a shame and for a martial arts game it would have been nice to feel as though you were responsible for the moves your character is unleashing. This put me off the game and there was no danger of this MMORPG becoming an unhealthy obsession for me.
Upgrading Your Character
Do you want to be swinging your tier 1 sword doing a pathetic 15-20 damage at the end game brawl at the dragon altar?
Or do you want to be a bad A** hero doing 100+damage per basic attack of your sword, spear or energy blaster?
So here’s your top priorities in upgrading your character as fast as possible.
- Elixers – Increases said attribute permanently.
- Tianjing peach – increases your health, very good for becoming harder to kill!
- Ancient Gingseng root – Increases attack power permanently, my personal favourite in game snack
- Mushroom things – Yeah, they are ok, increases your CP or mana points permanently.
Where can elixers be found? They are the second most common drop at the ‘mysterious lady’ who spawns randomly across the map. Fast running to her should be a top prioritiy. See someone else talking to her? Attack them at once! Or wait utnil the loot drops, then dart in to either ninja it, or kill them and obtain it. Best of all, beat them to the lady and get those rewards first!
The mysterious lady drops four main types of loot. Here they are listed in order of frequency dropped:
- 1) Ancient Tea, Lamb chops, and the biggest tier back pack.
- 2) One of each of the three upgrade elixers.
- 3) Either a tier 4 weapon and red upgrade books to match or simply the red upgrade books.
- 4) Tier 3 golden armour, daggers and skill books (detection and stealth).
Drop 2 & 3 are my favourite. 2 is a handy upgrade and 3 can give some crazily overpowered weapon/book combinations.
Keep in mind, the mysterious lady re-spawns a few minutes after disapearing so it may be worth it too loot around the area, try and find some green jade keys etc while waiting for her to respawn. Alternatively, you can dash across the map to go to the next spawn.
Elixers can also be found randomly in houses and in certain hidden locations around the map. Lantern posts often have them, also, those little chick pen cages next to the track, often have them inside as well. I could upload some photos, but happy hunting!
The second aspect of upgrading your character’s stats are ‘Beads of life’ the soul energy or whatever of your defeated opponent or someone else’s kill that they neglected too loot. These are awesome! Right click on them, and they increase all your stats and upgrade you. Do this whenever and as soon as possible!
Gameplay (4 out of 5)
In the beginning you will go through the usual process of character selection. Once you have crafted your unique character you can begin your journey through the dusty streets of ancient China. It is the Era of Nine Dragons and the Ming Dynasty sits upon the throne. The most obvious pressing concern is to get some combat skills and you won’t be able to join a clan until you do.
Once you have learned from a local master and got some nifty moves you need to choose from one of the six playable clans. Martial arts fans will recognise some of the names and you can select from the Shaolin, the League of Beggars, the Wu-Tang, the Heavenly Demon, the Brotherhood of Thieves and Sacred Flower. Later you may get the option to join one of the three advanced clans, the Union of Noble Families, the Disciples of Iron Fist or the Black Dragon Clan. The process of levelling up is based on training and you need to use skills to master them. You can do this in a training environment or by embarking on quests and engaging in real combat. Outside the villages there are wild animals, monsters, bandits, loners and the deviant clans. You can also party up and embark on challenging quests.
If you don’t fancy monster hunting or questing with other players there is always the clan war. The clans are split into two opposing groups, the White clans are loyal to the Emperor and the Black clans are not. Each clan has their own style, different techniques to learn and preferred weapons. There are also different classes represented in each clan. You can take part in Storm vs Storm battles where two armies face off and compete for control of a fortress.
There are PvP servers where you can be attacked at any moment and non-PvP servers where you need to agree to a fight before it will happen. The game is packed with items to discover and there is some attempt to expound on the philosophy behind martial arts. The game also draws heavily on folklore and some of the characters and clan histories are very engaging. The gameplay definitely has some depth to it. The website mmosite.com actually gave 9Dragons the best PvP, graphics and storyline awards back in 2006.
Graphics (3 out of 5)
This is a free MMORPG and as you might expect the visuals are not the greatest. The character design is actually very good and the developers obviously had rich material to draw on in this regard. The translation from some of the excellent 2D concepts to the actual 3D models is not always great. The environments are fairly dull and the buildings and backdrops give the right impression but they are basic in design and implementation. There are atmospheric areas and some nice vistas but much of the level design is repetitive. The animations are reasonably good. There is no doubt the visuals are dated but it doesn’t really detract from the gameplay. For a free game this looks better than average.
Final Tips
Final combat tips for winning the game:
- Don’t be a hero and tank every one end game! Let someone else do that, haha.
- You picked up some potions, right? Well, why don’t you f***g use them? Before combat, pop some cp potions, ability potions and a hp potion. They are hot keyed to numbers 5 6 7. Use them and be ahead of the crowd.
- Before the endgame during random encounters, if you meet someone who’s weapon is stronger than yours, RUN. Don’t be a hero and try and fight them, they are stronger! Unless you’re super confidant in your skills, get out of there and find some upgrades! Double tap your movement keys, then shift sprint away.
- At the endgame brawl, carefully observe everyone. Who seems to be the strongest? Target those who are smoking with blood lust! Circle around them and hit the competition from behind as they cull out the herd. You must ignore other players and gang up on the strongest enemies before theirs only you and them left, in which case you will have a harder battle to fight.
- Get good at dodging out of combat, quickly running away and eating some dumplings, hp potion or some chops!
- Clarify your goals, is it to win or too get as many kills as possible?
- The skill book ‘detection’ is really handy during the endgame fight to take tabs on who’s intelligent in running out of battles to hide up, heal and upgrade.
- Got defeated? Go on the replay mode, change the viewpoint to free camera and analyse your mistakes.

Для PvE
Борьба с монстрами всегда представляет определенные вызовы, справиться с которыми можно используя соответствующие артефакты.
Бомбомет – отличное усиление, которое поможет в сражениях против исполинов, а также в нанесении прямого урона.
Гнев Курраты – повышает урон легиона на постоянной основе, а после активации умения дает дополнительный бонус на десять отрядов.
Универсальные
Когда нет специализированных артефактов или герой редко вступает в ПВП, то универсальные предметы помогут разобраться с врагом в большинстве стычек.
Пособие по стрельбе из лука – нет, не усиливает лучников, а дает бонус к защите. После активации умения также предоставит увеличение урона.
Сердце Камаси – увеличит защиту легиона и усилит еще три союзных легиона.
Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting
The basic premise of 9Dragons is genius. We’ve all seen martial arts movies where the hero starts off as a young villager and trains up under a cantankerous old master. We’ve all fantasised about fighting like Jackie Chan or going on a revenge spree like Bruce Lee. Well here is your chance to play an MMO game which is focussed on martial arts. Set in a genuine historical period during the Ming Dynasty with rival clans battling for control of China this game is at least partially grounded in reality. The design isn’t exactly revolutionary and the art is fairly basic but this is impressive for a free MMORPG.

Нико – претендент на место основного командира и звание лучшего напарника для Гуануин. Если она наносит урон более методично и равномерно, то Нико способен даже за короткий отрезок времени нанести много дамага. Это позволяет не проседать по урону на всей протяженности боя, быстро истребляя разнообразных врагов.
Безусловно, тем кто играет за эльфов прокачка этого командира только пойдет на пользу. Но даже для других фракций данный герой может оказаться отличным дополнением, особенно, когда необходим хороший командир стрелков или персонаж для PvE. Высокая сосредоточенность на уроне позволяет справляться как с монстрами, так и армиями других игроков, без значительных затруднений.
Навыки
Примечательной особенностью является то, что у этого героя, помимо активируемого навыка ярости, все остальные умения имеют пассивный эффект. Прокачивая их, можно усилить как самого командира, так и весь легион в целом.
Первый навык – Стрелы хаоса
Три раза подряд наносит дамаг целевому легиону врага.
Улучшение:
- Коэффициент дамага первых двух ударов: 100/120/140/160/200
- Коэффициент урона последнего удара: 200/250/300/350/400
Легион наносит на 15% больше урона темным и темным существам.
Улучшение:
Бонус к урону: 4% / 6% / 8% / 11% / 15%
Третий навык – Мастер игры с лодочками
Скорость передвижения и атака стрелков в легионе повышаются.
Улучшение:
- Бонус к атаке: 4% / 6% / 8% / 11% / 15%
- Бонус к скорости: 3% / 4% / 6% / 8% / 10%
Четвертый навык – Упреждающий удар
Если численность солдат в легионе превышает отметку в 50% (включительно), то они наносят дополнительный урон.
Улучшение:
Бонус к урону: 3% / 4% / 6% / 8% / 10%
Пятый навык – Пламенный ветер
При проведении обычной атаки, легион с шансом 50% накладывает на противника эффект отравления. Вследствие чего, каждые 3 сек. цели будет наноситься урон.

Weapon / Combat Tips
Obviously, this game is in early access and will change a lot. With that in mind…
Currently, in my opinion, the Sword is the best weapon. It has a long range attack, a mini teleport/jump attack and a overpowered basic attack which interupts both spear and chi blaster uses.
Sword
Find a tier 3 sword looting buildings, some types of buildings have them more commonly than other types. Explore the map and learn where they mostly drop. Prioritise book upgrades that increase attack power. This is the most important! Secondly, the books that reduce the cooldown of the attacks are really handy, seriously. Thirdly, book upgrades that increase range/speed of the sword heavy attack are good. The book upgrades which lessen how much cp points you use aren’t needed in my opinion. Its very easy to slurp down some liquor or use a cp potion instead.
So, using a sword in combat, vs spear and chi users, simply smash left click and win! IF they are skilled and maintain distance from you, carefully aim the right click range attack to shave down their health and make them nervous! Also double tap the movement keys to close the distance.
Regarding the Q special attack, it can be quite powerful. Upon using it, your character has a mid- range teleport where he jumps in and slices the enemies you locked on ( enemies showing up red in your mouse pointer ). This attack can be tricky to aim right. Don’t make the mistake of using it too far away and don’t make the mistake of using it if the enemy is moving! It will miss.
The Q special attack is best used on a face to face attack spam with an enemy or when you are attacking unaware groups at the end game brawl. Basically, use this attack when they are stationary and at a close to mid-range distance otherwise you will miss.
Also, you can sense when you’re going to miss ( they are walking towards you while you press Q ), you can swing your character around using your mouse to rotate your hero and catch the enemy with your Q attack instead of missing! This will sometimes work, if they are still kinda close. This tactic also works with basic attacks on those annoying ninjas who think back flipping and doing cartwheels is super cool and will make you die! Simply rotate your character very fast to surprise them with sword attacks in the face in their new location!
Spear
This weapon has the second fastest close range attack speed with sword seeming to be faster and chi blasters getting interupted by both sword and spear.
Spear also has the highest damage it seems. Add on the high tier red book upgrades plus some gingseng roots and bread of life = insane damage!
basic attacks have a nice range, especially the last attack in the basic attack combo which sweeps out in a wide arc. Once again, rotate your character to hit dodging enemies and you’ll hit them with that last wide sweep!
With the Right click heavy attack, it can be a nice jump and gank attack in the end game brawl. Carefully position yourself behind a group of brawling enemies, right click and smash hell on them! If aimed right, you’ll knock them all down for a few seconds Once knocked down, activate the Q attack for high damage!
The Q attack is high damage but has a very narrow and short range. This attack is easy to miss and must be aimed, timed carefully. Use this either before or after basic attacks when 1 on 1 with enemies or as a ganking surprise attack from behind at the dragon altar or after you’ve knocked them down with the right click heavy attack.
Keep in mind vs sword attackers, you will lose if you try and out click them in basic attacks!!!! Either block them and flip out or flip our as soon as possible. Try and surprise them with a rick click slam or Q poke attack. Want to do a spear main? Have a sword or chi blaster as a backup vs sword players.
Chi Blasters
Chi blasters are ok if you got a nice tier 3/4 weapon plus a good set of upgrade books such as power upgrades/cool down upgrades. The increase in range in basic attacks is also really handy as you can step back from the fight and blast like crazy using basic attacks.
Very important to be nimble on your feet! If a sword or spear user is closing the gap on you, then you must either, maintain distance by dodging forwards to back, or you can try your luck in timing the diamond palm on your opponent.
Diamond palm has a lousy range and is easily dodged/avoided. I prefer to use this on mass brawls in the end game fight when people aren’t expecting it. Works amazing!
Personally, I only play chi blaster if I get a good set of red book upgrades from the mysterious lady, otherwise it feels like less damage compared to either sword or spear.
