MobInfo-2 Data[]

MobInfo collects data whenever you fight a Mob. It starts off with an empty database, which fills up automatically the more you fight and play. The data it collects is used for enhancing the game tooltip and the game target frame. It is also available to other AddOns (mostly the mob/target health values).

NEW FEATURE: The MobInfo database has become searchable. You can do a search for the 12 most profitable Mobs. You will find the «Search» button on the «Database» page of the options dialog.

MobInfo Options Dialog[]

Type «/mi2» or «/mobinfo2» on the chat prompt to open the MobInfo2 options dialog. This dialog gives you full interactive control over EVERYTHING that MobInfo can do. All options take immediate effect. Simply try them all out. Decent defaults get set when you start MobInfo for the first time. Note that the 3 main categories «Tooltip», «Mob Health/Mana», and «Database Maintenance» have separate dedicated options pages within the options dialog.

Note that everything in the options dialog has an associated help text that explains to you what the option does. The help texts are shown automatically as a tooltip.

NEW FEATURE: Have a look at the «Database» page of the options dialog. Several new features have been added here, like «Clear» buttons and a «Search» button for finding the most profitable Mobs.

How does Deadly Boss Mods work?

Deadly Boss Mods will play audio warnings and show timers for dangerous boss abilities. For example, if the boss is about to cast a deadly spell that you need to run away from, DBM will play a warning of the Big Bad Wolf from Karazhan, saying, “Run away little girl, run away!” You will also see a bar that shows the time remaining until the boss casts the ability.

Many players don’t realize DBM also comes with a lot of other helpful features as well. In addition to timers, you can set the addon to show things like arrows, HUDs, and range indicators. You can also use DBM to do check your raid member’s lag, durability, and boss lockouts for the week!

Однако эта табличка исчезает, если вы перестаете атаковать, моб умирает или же вы отошли слишком далеко.

Стоит сказать, что способ отображения, который выбрали разработчики этого мода очень похож с теми, которые очень часто используются в РПГ играх.

Индикатор здоровья

Модификация, которая будет рассмотрена сейчас отличается немного более расширенным функционалом отображения данных, чем две прошлые.

Разработчики, которые представили этот индикатор хп, постарались отобразить как можно более детально данные о мобе.

В отличие от прошлого мода здесь не нужно подходить и атаковать существо, достаточно только лишь навести на него курсор и в левой верхней части картинки осуществляется показ здоровья моба.

Однако это ещё не всё, потому что на этой шкале здоровья показываются эффекты, которые наложены на моба, что также может быть очень полезным при сражении с особо опасными существами.

А вот энтузиасты, которые представили данный аддон подошли к задаче более креативно.

Две прошлые модификации отличались детальностью и подробностью, но были достаточно минималистичны.

В этом аддоне вдобавок к шкале хп будет ещё необычная иконка c рамочкой, отображающая портретную картинку того, с кем именно вы взаимодействуете.

Этот мод активируется абсолютно по тому же принципу, что и прошлые, нужно либо просто навести, либо атаковать для того, чтобы в левой верхней части экрана появился специальный интерактивный показ хп моба, либо же игрока, с которым вы сражаетесь.

DBM Slash Commands

In addition to timers, bars, and other great information, DBM has several supported slash commands. These are commands which you can type into your chat box to access or set up additional functionality.

As a quick overview, some of the slash commands you can use include:

• /dbm help: Shows a list of personal slash commands.
• /dbm help2: Shows list of slash commands used for raid management
• /dbm unlock: Shows a movable status bar timer. You can also type /dbm move.
• /range <number>: Shows range frame. Example: /range 5 displays a circle indicator with a radius of 5. Very helpful for mechanics where you need to spread.

• /hudar <number>: Shows HUD based range finder around your character.
• /dbm timer: Starts a custom DBM timer. Example: /dbm timer 10 Danger will display a 10 second timer bar with the word Danger.

• /dbm arrow: Shows the DBM arrow which can be set to point towards a world coordinate, zone map coordinate, or another player.
• /dbm hud: Similar to the arrow command, allows you to point to a target, focus, or another player. The default duration is 20 minutes and can be removed with /dbm hud hide.
• /dbm pull <sec>: Sends a pull timer for a custom number of seconds to the raid if you have the raid permissions to do so; example, /dbm pull 10.
• /dbm break <min>: Similar to the pull command, sends a notification of break time to the raid with a custom number of minutes.
• /dbm version: Checks the version of DBM installed by members of your raid group, using /dbm version2 will also send users a message if their AddOn is out of date.
• /dbm lockout: Checks the boss lockout status of raid members.
• /dbm lag: Checks raid member latency to test for lag.
• /dbm durability: Checks durability status of raid members gear.

Deadly Boss Mods is a great addon for new and experienced players alike. While it works extremely well without additional customizations, it has the power to be adjusted to your play style and preferences. For content like raiding and dungeons, having a tool like DBM is pretty much mandatory.

Аддоны для настройки интерфейса

Если не хочется возиться с кучей аддонов, а тем более настраивать их, всегда можно скачать сборку.

ElvUi/TukUi

Самые популярные аддоны для изменения дефолтного интерфейса игры. Сам ElvUi/TukUi на деле похож на сборную солянку — можно не только двигать панельки, но и объединять сумки в одну, настраивать фреймы рейда, персонажа и противников. Да и в целом, функционал почти ничем не ограничен, хоть миникарту удаляйте с экрана, если захотите.

Может показаться странным, но это единственный аддон из подборки, который необходимо устанавливать вручную, скачав с официального сайта разработчика. Просто переместите папку с аддоном в /classic/Interface. Бояться не стоит — создатели ElvUi/TukUi зарекомендовали себя с 2008 года без единого инцидента.

Bartender4

Самый простой аддон, позволяющий перетаскивать панельки и изменять их размер как вам удобно, будь то прозрачность, расстояние между иконками и другие элементы.

WeakAuras

Один из популярнейших аддонов для WoW. Позволяет красиво и как захочется отображать баффы, дебаффы и прочие моменты сражения на экране. Отлично оптимизирован и имеет гибкие варианты настройки.

Plater Nameplates/KuiNameplates

Удобный аддон, заменяющий обычный ХП бар противника, отображая его более информативно и красивее. Удобная вещь в PvP, чтобы отслеживать дебаффы и редкие кулдауны на противнике.

GearQuipper

Отличная альтернатива элементу, который появился в WoW через долгое время после выхода WotLK — позволяет выбирать слот предмета и предлагает все возможные альтернативы из вашего инвентаря. Идеальный выбор, чтобы не прыгать по сумках в поисках нужного тринькета, похожего на шлем.

Дополнительная информация, доступная для отображения во всплывающей подсказке игры, заключается в следующем:

Существует два режима отображения данных: обычный режим и компактный режим. В обычном режиме одна строка добавляется во всплывающую подсказку на один элемент данных из приведенного выше списка. В компактном режиме два элемента данных будут объединены в одной строке всплывающей подсказки. Пользователь TipBuddy следует отметить, что (только) сайт mobinfo Компактный режим, совместимый с Компактный режим TipBuddy.

Обратите внимание, что MobInfo предлагает «комбинированный режим», в котором данные мобов с одинаковым именем, отличающиеся только уровнем, объединяются (суммируются) в одну всплывающую подсказку. Этот режим можно включить в диалоговом окне Параметры

Customizing DBM

After installing DBM, you can open the settings window by clicking on the minimap icon or typing /dbm into your chat window. The settings interface has two tabs: Bosses and Options.

Settings: Bosses

The Bosses tab allows you to customize settings for particular bosses, including which abilities have warnings and timer bars. You can also set up and customize the automatic use of icons on important targets and warnings that your character will send through chat to communicate with raid members.

For the most part, you will not need to customize these settings, but it is helpful to know it is possible if you or your group struggles with a particular mechanic.

Settings: Options

The Options tab gives you the ability to customize many settings across all fights — unlike the Bosses tab, which is fight-specific. You can use these settings to change general options, alerts, timers, filters, and frames. If you click on the top level of each of these categories, you will find links helpful links for setup and customization.

You can change many settings of deadly boss mods by accessing the options window.

Diving into each of these components is beyond the scope of this article because there are so many different things DBM can do. However, I want to show you a few important customizations that should give you an idea of how flexible the addon is.

• General Options – Run test bars for setup, show time remaining to accept group invites, automatic combat logging, customize sounds, create profiles to save your settings.
• Alerts – Customize position, colors, and sounds used for alerts. There are so many sounds included, from lines spoken by WoW characters to cats meowing.
• Timers – Customize color, position, and behavior of timer bars,
• Global Disables & Filters – Turn off features in DBM, filter warnings based on roles, set up preferences for the way whispers are handled during combat,
• Frames & Integrations – Change setting for DBM info frame, nameplate integrations, and range frame.

Plater Nameplates

Bigger nameplates mean fewer surprises. And while that’s reason enough to get this addon, it’s not its star quality. An extension to this addon allows you to see what abilities enemies have so you don’t get stun locked to your death out of nowhere. Don’t go anywhere without Plater.

Why You Need Plater Nameplates:

• Gives enemies bigger nameplates, so you don’t accidentally pull mobs
• Allows you to be prepared for enemies’ spells and abilities
• Makes clicking and targeting mobs easier

FAQ

What does “pfUI” stand for?
The term “pfui!” is german and simply stands for “pooh!”, because I’m not a
big fan of creating configuration UI’s, especially not via the Wow-API
(you might have noticed that in ShaguUI).

How do I report a Bug?
Please provide as much information as possible in the Bugtracker.
If there is an error message, provide the full content of it. Just telling that “there is an error” won’t help any of us.
Please consider adding additional information such as: since when did you got the error,
does it still happen using a clean configuration, what other addons are loaded and which version you’re running.
When playing with a non-english client, the language might be relevant too. If possible, explain how people can reproduce the issue.

How can I contribute?

Please make sure to have the latest version installed and check for conflicting addons beforehand.

I have bad performance, what can I do?
There’s only one known performance issue: that is while using “Frame Shadows”. Make sure to disable those
in the pfUI settings (Settings -> Appearance -> Enable Frame Shadows). If you still have a low performance,
it’s most likely a combination with another addon. Disable all AddOns but pfUI and then enable one-by-one,
till the performance problem occurs again. Make sure to report the identified AddOn and what you did to reproduce
via the Bugtracker.

Where is the happiness indicator for pets?
The pet happiness is shown as the color of your pet’s frame. Depending on your skin, this can either be the text or the background color of your pet’s healthbar:

• Green = Happy
• Yellow = Content
• Red = Unhappy

Since version 4.0.7 there is also an additional icon that can be enabled from the pet unit frame options.

Can I use Clique with pfUI?
This addon already includes support for clickcasting. If you still want to make use of clique, all pfUI’s unitframes are already compatible to Clique-TBC. For Vanilla, a pfUI compatible version can be found Here. If you want to keep your current version of Clique, you’ll have to apply this Patch.

Where is the Experience Bar?
The experience bar shows up on mouseover and whenever you gain experience, next to left chatframe by default. There’s also an option to make it stay visible all the time.

How do I show the Damage- and Threatmeter Dock?
If you enabled the “dock”-feature for your external (third-party) meters such as DPSMate or KTM, then you’ll be able to toggle between them and the Right Chat by clicking on the “>” symbol on the bottom-right panel.

Why is my chat always resetting to only 3 lines of text?
You need to disable the “Simple Chat” in blizzards interface settings (Advanced Options). Then relog and reset/run the firstrun wizard again.

How can I enable mouseover cast?
On Vanilla, create a macro with “/pfcast SPELLNAME”. If you also want to see the cooldown, You might want to add “/run if nil then CastSpellByName(“SPELLNAME”) end” on top of the macro. For The Burning Crusade, just use the regular mouseover macros.

Will there be pfUI for Activision’s “Classic” remakes?
No, it would require an entire rewrite of the AddOn since the game is now a different one. The AddOn-API has evolved during the last 15 years and the new “Classic” versions are based on a current retail gameclient. I don’t plan to play any of those new versions, so I won’t be porting any of my addons to it.

NEW healthbars!!

As frequently requested, MobHealth can now display health bars above Mobs, and a health counter for players.

PLEASE NOTE: If enabled — these bars show above ALL players / mobs, regardless of any toggle or permissions settings.

Enable this feature with the following flags in config:

Enables health counter display below player names.

usePercentForPlayer true

Changes health counter from HP to a percentage of health left (recommended).

showMobHeadHealth true

Enable health bars for all mobs.

If true, use a health bar in format of if false, show in format of «10/20»

Compatible Plugins

Spout

If Spout-plugin is installed and the client uses SpoutCraft (and disableSpout is on its default false setting) then notification will be shown with the achievement notification (as seen above).

ZombieMod

Heroes health and levelled up HP’s are reported correctly as are mobs whose health levels have been adjusted in the config. Use of a Heroes skill will trigger a notification when it damages.
